39. Why Warren Buffett Has Lived in the Same House Since 1958 and How Frugality Is the Secret Sauce for Building Wealth
So everyone knows that Warren Buffett is an investing GOAT. I mean, his results speak for themselves, right?
Okay, fair enough, but did you know that he still lives in the same house he bought in 1958? How many billionaires do you know who do still live in the same house they got in their late 20s!
I have a simple money philosophy; If Warren does something, there’s a good reason for it. In this episode we’ll explore the story of how he bought his house, and why he’s still hanging out in suburban Omaha instead of shacking up in Manhattan’s billionaire’s row.
We’ll also cover some research from a book called “The millionaire next door”. This book was written by two PhD guys (Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko). They were basically trying to figure out “Who are America’s millionaires, and what are their habits?”
I learned a lot from reading their book, and I’m excited to share my findings with you. Check out this episode to learn more.
